PE is insoluble in any solvent at room temperature, but the solvent with similar solubility parameter can cause its swelling. But even at higher temperatures, PE is still insoluble in water, aliphatic alcohols, acetone, ether, glycerin and vegetable oils.
PE in the atmosphere, sunlight and oxygen is prone to aging, the concrete performance of elongation and cold resistance, mechanical properties and electrical properties decline, and gradually become brittle, produce cracks, and ultimately lose the use of performance.
